The variety of stunning landscapes will amaze through the many valleys, mountains, trails, rivers, lakes and meadows....By bike, on foot, or climbing, in direct contact with all the flora and fauna, and a culture with its authenticity intact.

Andorra is a fascinating country that boasts many claims including the highest life expectancy in the world and the highest capital in Europe, Andorra la Vella, at 1,023 metres. Over 30% of the Andorran territory is a national park under protection of UNESCO. It’s compact size, just 183 square miles, means it is possible to drive through the country in one hour. So accessing all that Andorra has to offer can be achieved easily and efficiently.

Andorra is unique in that it is located close to the Spanish beach resorts of the Costa Brava yet is surrounded by mountains. This combination leads to some amazing weather and 300 sunny days a year.

Mountains, lakes, beautiful historic towns and plentiful historic buildings ensure spectacular scenery. At several vantage points you can see far into both the French and Spanish Pyrenees.

Andorra is great value. A low tax rate and generally low prices ensure you money will go much further. Whether dining out or visiting local supermarkets, prices are comparable or cheaper than in Spain.

Due to it’s previously isolated position in the central Pyrenees Andorra remains a community at heart with many of its villages just as they were several decades ago. A relaxed culture ensures a welcoming and easy going environment where people leave their homes and cars unlocked. Few places we visit in our modern society feel as safe and secure, a great place to bring the family.

Andorra is home to Southern Europe’s largest thermal spa. A revolutionary thermal spring concept set in striking glass facade sculptural buildings provide the backdrop to health enriching natural waters flowing at 70 degrees centigrade rich in sulphur and several other mineral elements. Health benefits are said to include healing, decongestant and anti-allergy qualities but the many themed areas such as high floating jacuzzis, waterfalls, hydromassage and outdoor lazy rivers and bathing provide oodles of fun for all the family.

If you like cycling you will love Andorra. Home to the World Cup of downhill mountain biking every year held at the renowned Vallnord mountain bike centre. Alternatively, if road biking is your thing it doesn’t get any more intense than the 21 mountain passes, several of which are used in the Vuelta de Espana and Tour de France. Why not try the Col d’Ordino or simply one of the 2015 Tour finish routes up the Ordino Valley. A challenging, intense and self gratifying pastime.
